Google And Apple Fighting For Mobile Searching Supremacy

When it comes to the internet, there is nobody bigger then Google in terms of searching, tools, advertising, just about everything. While Google is already the dominant search engine for individuals searching from home, they are now in the process of trying to become the dominant search engine for mobile searching as well.

In order for Google to obtain the dominance in the mobile search engine market, as they desire, they are going to have to go up against Apple, who is already a major player in the market. Google has tried to improve their position in the mobile search marketplace by purchasing AdMob and Teracent. Google is investing a lot of money in this drive to be number one in the mobile search market, but the justification is the increased ad revenues if they are successful.

Apple is also looking to improve their position in the mobile search market. With the recent acquisition of Quattro, Apple is saying to Google that they are willing to go head to head with them to compete for the growing mobile search market. Apple has a lot of ground to make up though because of the familiarity most users have with Google.

Google’s dominance in the search engine market has forced their competition to reconsider how to compete with the search engine giant. Many competing search engines are now beginning to think outside the box when it comes to dealing with the Google issue. For example, Apple and Microsoft are now considering teaming up together, with the iPhone using Microsoft’s Bing as its primary search engine. It is unknown if these discussions will eventually lead to a collaboration by these two competitors, and even if it does lead to a collaboration, the impact it will have on Google’s market share is unknown.

And with all the hype about who will get to be the search engine for the smart phone applications, the bottom line is that although Google may want to be there, with their current strong hold on the web and with the major social media sites, even if they lose in the smart phone market they will still remain a strong and active force on the web for years to come. The little steps being taken by Microsoft and Apple, may be taking a few dollars out of their pockets, but will remain relatively insignificant to the overall market.

There are numerous companies that can assist you with building traffic to your website in order to achieve larger page rankings. For assistance from one of the top companies in the business log onto seo moves at www.seomoves.com.uk.

Recording Webinars 101

1
Buffer

You will be surprised at how fast you can start recording webinars once you have two computers and know a few tricks to get this done.

You will need to use your primary computer (pc or mac) to broadcast your webinar. If you are looking for a cheap webinar service to get started, then I recommend GoToWebinar by Citrix to avoid the inflated costs that other companies will charge. This company will allow you to accommodate up to 1000 participants on a webinar which is much more than what other webinar services have to offer. Never try to do this in a hurry as it will prove to be quite expensive. If you plan to have more than one webinar in a month, then GoToWebinars is an excellent solution for this. The best part is that they allow you to be able to test yourself by having practice webinars.

The other services that are offered by some webinar services does not guarantee me a clean recording, and this is one thing that I try to avoid. Recording in Camtasia is the best option. It does not give you the hassle that other recording services have with different files that are confusing and sometimes don’t work as well.

What you will need to do is open Camtasia on the computer that you will record on and ensure that the recording box is 640 X 480. This will allow you to broadcast on your primary computer and at the same time login as an attendee on the computer that you will record on. It is best to set the audio to manual input instead of automatic.

I have a tip for you as you record webinars that will help you to keep the echo and feedback down. You will need to get a cord from the electronic store that has a 1/80 jack on each end. After that you will need to plug one end into the microphone and the other end into the headset hole, and this will help you to have a continuous loop. When you do this, you will be able to able to talk as loud as you want and not get any feedback or echo while you record webinars. You do not have to record and edit it right away.

Your webinar will have to be resized to fit into the green recording box that you got from Camtasia. To have a professional webinar recording, simply hit the record button and watch the sound levels that appear.

You will then render it to the format you prefer: CD, web, and blog. Now you are set to go! That is all you need to know to make sure that you record webinars correctly

Comprehensive Press Release Distribution Hits All Forms of Media

0
Buffer

Good press release distribution starts with an extensive media list, which takes time to compile. If you need your story to quickly hit the presses, it’s best to work with a company that already has the contacts so that you can hit the ground running.

Often, it’s the local and smaller media outlets who will be more inclined to pick up your story first. Smaller outlets make the most sense to target as many of their stories are directly inspired by press releases.

Plus, many of the larger networks scan the smaller outlets for stories to pick up. You nab the interest of the smaller media branches as the story ricochets up into larger markets. Stories get shared by paper to paper. Good press release distribution starts small as the story can get passed up through the branches.

Yet you don’t want to send the press release to just anyone, or you may be accused of spamming. That’s a list you certainly don’t want to be on. Get known as a spammer, and you can easily get blacklisted in the media industry and they’ll never listen to your story again.

Make certain that you have specific contact information easily identified in your press release. Once you’ve hooked their attention, make it easy to contact you. Don’t make the reporter’s job difficult or they’ll just find another story that more conveniently makes their deadline.

The modern world features many media outlets, so contact different kinds across the board. Submit your press release to newspapers as well as trade journals and magazines, websites, radio and television shows.

Don’t leave out the bloggers as the blogging community can connect your story to other outlets by starting a media sensation.

Connect all different segments of the media with a comprehensive press release distribution. Get your story told with well written press releases that connect all segments of the media, including print, television and the Internet.

Sitemaps For SEO

4
Buffer

You may have read about SEO and discussed many ways to optimize your website. One of the areas that has not been explored thoroughly but is extremely beneficial in getting you the desired ranking is using sitemaps.

Wonderful SEO Tool

As the name suggests, a sitemap is the map of your site. In a single page, you show your entire site, the links, the pages, sections etc. This is a wonderful SEO tool that helps a visitor navigate your site. Having a sitemap that is constantly updated to show what is new in your site is good.

Sitemaps have the added SEO advantage that they can help you communicate with search engines. You can use the sitemap to tell the search engine which parts of your site to crawl and index.

Sitemaps have been used since a long time for web design. Now since search engines pay attention to sitemaps, they have become important for SEO. If you want to use sitemaps, you need to remember that though MSN and Yahoo! Used the standard sitemap, google uses the xml format. So if you want to use sitemaps you need one for google spiders and one for the humans. One important thing is that Google has stated that it will never penalize websites for using sitemaps.

The benefits of using a sitemap :

Easier navigation Better visibility for search engines leading for faster indexing Sitemaps help in your website optimization since broken links can be repaired and orphaned pages reached. If you update a page, or have linked a new page, site map will help you immensely both with human visitors who can immediately read your fresh content and search engine spiders that sense and index your page. Better indexing and classification of site content How to get a SEO site map This is simple. You first need to generate it and then submit it to the search engine. There are tools to help you. You could download and install a sitemap generator. Google has one. If you are a technical person or have technical help it is simple. Otherwise, you could get online sitmap generator tools, that will walk you through the process. I use Arne Brachold’s XML Sitemap Plugin for WordPress.2010 07 28 1144 300x110 Sitemaps For SEO

Once you have created or generated your SEO sitemap, you need to notify google about it. If you have a Google account, add your site to the Google Sitemap account. If you do not have a google account, you need to get one. Google then verifies you as the legitimate owner of your site and this adds to your indexing.

This SEO XML plugin generates a XML-Sitemap compliant sitemap of your WordPress blog. This format is supported by Ask.com, Google, YAHOO and MSN Search.

More information about what XML-Sitemaps are and how they can help you to get indexed by the major search engines can be found at Sitemaps.org and the searchenginewatch blog.

If you have questions about XML-Sitemaps or run into problems, have a look at my Sitemaps FAQ.

As of now, Yahoo! and MSN do not support XML sitemaps, but knowing the popularity of Google search engine it is expected that they will soon support this format. Yahoo does offer webmasters a way to submit a text file of urls, which may be considered a basic version site map. MSN does not. However, this is a powerful tool and since Google does dominate the search engine niche, both of these search engines will soon start supporting this SEO tool.

So get yourself a SEO sitemap

to optimize your website both for your visitors and for the search engines. It is great SEO.

Best Online Article Marketing Strategy – Promote New Ezines on Niche Subjects

2
Buffer

What’s the best online article marketing strategy? Let’s look at some secrets, tips, and information, that everybody who wants to be successful at ezine article marketing should be aware of.

Before you start writing your new ezines on your chosen subjects, you need to make sure you are ready to do so, if you like writing but you choose to write on a subject that you are not interested in, you are going to find it a lot more difficult. The same goes for writing about a topic you do not have knowledge on. So try to find a subject you are interested in and research those topics before you write about them.

Do you know how beneficial that title can be to you? It is what the reader see’s before they see the rest of your article. It goes without saying that the first impression is always the impression that counts. That title will be in big bold letters at the top of your article and you need to make sure it tells the reader what they will be benefiting from when they read the article.

We see many individuals that fail at this next step. Instead of “standing out from the crowd, ” they choose to go with what the crowd is doing. Today, a large portion of the crowd is writing articles on cooking, gardening, beauty and parenting, the internet is flooded with these kind of subjects, try to find something a little bit more niche.

Not only should your subject be a little bit niche, but it still needs to be about something there is a demand for, do your research before hand, try to find a subject that there is a demand for but relatively little supply, you can use a KEI (keyword effectiveness index) analysis to help you with this.

There are many article directories out there that we use daily. We recommend using ones such as buzzle, go articles, article dashboard, ezine articles and article alley. They are five of the most popular ones that are easy to use. Before you use them, you will need to create your own profile.

As you are writing the article, feel free to ask questions in the articles. Also, tell the readers that they are allowed to contact you with comments or questions regarding the content. This will cause them to want to connect with you and as you know, this is great for networking.

When you share information, you should keep it as simple as you possibly can. We know, you may think having those big words in that ezine article is great, but you should keep things simple so that everyone can understand it. For instance, instead of using the word “quaff, ” use the word “guzzle.” Why? Because there are some that will not understand you when you use “quaff, ” but when you use the word “guzzle, ” they will. Try to use langue that will be understandable by everyone.

Research as much as you can before you start, find the right topics, find the right keywords and follow these rules and your sure to find the best online article marketing strategy.
